EPF has migrated to a computerized system on Dec 2006, and apparently our nomination data is lost during the migration. I have received many e-mails regarding this for the past one and a half year and didnt really border to check at first. But many of my friends checked and they return to me telling me it is true.
Just went to check out last year December and found out that my nomination data was also lost. I am very sure when i first apply for my EPF that i do fill in the nomination data. The officer told me that it was my employer fault, but i really doubt so. Usually we submit the form together with our nomination data and if the account is successfully opened, there is no way that they can missed our nomination data.
Just received an e-mail regarding this again recently, so it just struck my mind to share about this piece of information. I do not know what will be the impact of not having a nomination in your EPF, but i do think it is better to spend some time to check it out at the EPF office.
