Another change in life

It's been a while since i last blog ... primary reason being that i am currently dating again .... a lovely gal that i met in the office .... even tough it's like very rarely that i actually go to the office ... wonderful things just happened ... and i am glad it did ....

Second thing was that i have decided to quit my current and rejoin my former company .... it was another tough decision that i have gone through ... so i guess, it will be another chapter of my life unfold .... i am just trying to manage my life the way i knew best ......

It's going to be new challenges ahead .... and in the midst of all that ... i hope that i will not need to keep my blog idle for too long ....

My Lucky Year

Despite the economic downturn and what not, i am really blessed to have weathered through all my challenges in life rather smoothly .... and indeed i was surprise how well my life going through this year .... god keep on showering me with better and better things .... and ignoring the fact that there is some uncertainty in my career right now, i can say this was the best time in my life so far .....

It is indeed ironic, coz early this year ... i have prepared myself to embrace the worst that can ever happened .... only to find out that things are currently going on at the opposite direction .... half a year have gone now, and i will not be selfish to ask for anything better for the remaining half of the year ... i just want to thank god for my life right now .... and i will continue to be good .... or even better .... :-)

A wise friend constantly remind me that .... good things will happened when you least expected it ... and somehow i have to agree on this so far....

May all my family and friends will experience joy and happiness for the remaining time of this year .....

Back at home finally

On friday afternoon, when i woke up to assume my shift at the rig .... i was told that the whole crew is going back home the next day .... i should be excited ... but this time around .... i am more cautious with my emotions .... twice b4 that i have left devastated of not able to go back ... so unless i have my feet stepping on the ground of my house ... i will never want to be so happy yet .....

After a whole day work, and barely 2 hours sleep .... we were called into the briefing room for helicopter safety briefing .... the exact place where bad news broke out for me to find out that i was denied the passage home .... the expectation was high that time ... so were the disappointment after that .....

After reaching the heli-base at Kota Bharu, we need to book a cab to Kuala Terengganu Airport .... apparently, all the flights to KL was fully booked ... MAS, Air Asia & Firefly ..... wth ??? i wonder what was going on .... my friends jokingly told me that maybe ladies for all around malaysia was going to Kelantan to interview for the prince's next wife ..... hahahahaha

The trip to KT was no pleasant at all ... 2 and a half hours journey with a stiff neck at the end of the journey .... the taxi driver actually switched off the air-cond and wind up the window during most of the journey .... and it was really a hot day ..... so basically sweat and cooked all the journey .... never really bothered to talk to the driver about it ... too tired to even talk ....

At KT airport, we was lucky .... we managed to change our flight to 4:15 pm ... i imagine that initially we was booked at 9:10 pm ... an extra 5 hours hanging around at the big but empty airport .... what a suffering situation to even think about it ....

Touched down at KLIA .... and found out my whole family went to Seremban to have dinner with one of my relatives .... "kononnya" father's day .... i did not want to eat dinner alone .... so instead of getting a cab back home .... i head straight to seremban .... and have dinner with my family and relatives .... i was tired but since i have been away for so long .... i would like to do something meaningful the moment i touched down at KL .....

Finally after dinner, i got back home .... my whole body was really starting to break apart .... my eyes cant really open anymore .... so i just take a bath, check some e-mails and head straight to my bed at 10:30 pm .... doze off the moment my head touches the pillow .... such a wonderful sleep i have .....

anyway, here i am waking up at 4:00 am ... for no particular reason .... and decided to blog again .....

Bad day ?????

I have not been blogging lately, due to the never ending limited time I have at home ... life this year has been travel, work, travel, work .... i can't even remember the last time that i have a long and quality break .....

Something unusual happen today, when i taking shower to get prepared to go back home from the rig .. i suddenly have this bad feeling .... but i just ignore it as i am too happy to know that i am going back home .... i changed to my clean coveralls ... go down to the galley to have lunch .... and happily sitting at the TV room for the safety briefing .... until ===> someone came in and told my team that we are held back ... WE ARE NOT GOING BACK !!!!! .... i was stunned for a moment ... and i know what is this bad feeling all about .... i have already ask my friend out tonight ... a friend that coincidently came back for a break from Perth .... and other plans .... I just cant hide the disappointment in my look anymore....

I also realize that today is the first day i report to work for my first job ... that was after my graduation .... so as for today, i have been out here in the working year for exactly 4 years .... hmmm ... how come i dun want to work anymore ..... hahaha .... i think it's not only me .... many of you out there feel the same way too .... :-P

Well, considering that i have slept for a couple of hours and my mind is still fresh and i can think better now .... what is this one bad day compare to the many lucky days i have got this year .... so just brush it aside and life goes on .... :-)

Counting my blessing

Other than being a bit over occupied with work, and bad economic situation ... this year i am truly blessed, being blessed for having the opportunity to meet some old frens .... some which i have not met for years ..... and ironically, none of this was actually intentionally planned .... somehow everything just happened as i am just struggling to cope with my everyday life .....

I just came back from Singapore .... for a business trip .... some sort of a once in a blue moon kind of opportunity .... and even tough it was just a 2 days 1 night trip ... but it was kinda nice ... the last trip to Singapore was when i was in primary school ..... hahahaha

Uncertainties still play a major role in my life .... most of it due to the nature of my work .... most of the time i hate it .... but there are also times that i actually enjoyed it ..... but most of all, i always believed i am blessed .... for that i can still live for another day :-)

Back from Ipoh

I just came back from a trip to Ipoh .... so coincidently, my housemate Calvin and his wife Jamie got a job at UTP .... so they just moved to Ipoh .... so, i just packed by bag, get a bus ticket ... and buy my way to Ipoh .... on a rainy friday afternoon, just after a meeting at my office ....

Reached Medan Gopeng at 4.30 pm ... ermm, i was kinda lost coz last time, when i still study at UTP ... bus usually stopped at Medan Kint ... so i decide to walk out a little bit to check out that area ... when i was walking along the road ... I was stopped by a teksi sapu ... offer to bring me to Ipoh Parade for RM10 ... so i think what the heck ... i dun even know where i am anyway ....

Stopped by at Ipoh Parade .... hang out at a cafe there while waiting for my Calvin to pick me up ... Ipoh parade seems to be newly renovated .... and a lot of school kids seems to hang around ..... Calvin and his wife arrived and suggested dinner and movies ... so we walk over to "tong sui kai" ... and have dinner there .... and later catch a movie "Watchmen" at Ipoh Parade .... it seems that the movie turns out to be a disaster ... at least not my cup of tea ....

Next morning ... got this van stopped outside Calvin's house .... selling breakfast, remind me of the old days when they still have van going house to house selling food at subang ..... hehehe .... so bought some breakfast .... and ate at his house .... i must say that his house really have a nice environment .... bukit kledang just walking distance away ... small and peaceful neighbourhood .... just like Miri ....

Then we go to Jaya Jusco at Ipoh ... to meet up with another couple ... Raffiz and Melissa, both my secondary school friends .... have lunch together Kenny Roger's ... then i heard that Crocs have sales ... so go and check it out .... seems that it only give discount for the second pair, if buy 2 pairs lo ... but nevertheless, i just got myself a pair :-P

At night, bring Calvin and Jamie to Menglembu town ... to try the honey chicken .... they seems to like it very much .... and after dinner, Calvin drop me off at Raffiz's place .... to watch ManU vs Liverpool match .... too bad Man U lose badly that night ... but that doesnt spoil our mood to go out and have supper at mamak shop at greentown ..... after that, spend a night at Raffiz place ....

Next sunday morning ... overshoot and sleep until 10.00 am ... have breakfast with Raffiz and Melissa .... and then ask them to send me back to Calvin's place .... hahaha .... i live like a nomad .... go here and there ....

At Calvin's place .... Jamie cook lunch, yummy food :-) .... then i took a rest and later evening ... go and climb Bukit Kledang .... climb until half way ... everybody pancit .... and also looks like going to rain ... so rush our way back to the car .... and go back .... on the way, stopped by a baker shop .... recommend them a good place to buy portugese egg tart .... we bought some back for tea time too ....

At night, just have a simple meal nearby ... then later at night, borrow car from them ... and I drove up and meet another UTP friend of mine ... she brought me a bar and have a couple of beer ... while catching up with each other.....

Finally, it is monday morning .... Calvin drove me to UTP .... where he work .... and i hang around there and before i leave for Ipoh .... my friend suggested for me to try out KTM train instead of bus ... so went to bought the train ticket .... and have breakfast ....... and then, catch the train back to KL .... i must say that the train ride is much more comfortable than the bus ride ... some more it stopped at KL central ... which is much more convenient ....

A good weekend getaway ... b4 i will go out to work again ... this weekend ....

Wrapping Up of Dubai Trip

It's been a while since i came back from Dubai, but due to not having access to internet back then .... i was not able to blog about the rest of my trip there .... but basically Dubai was really an expensive place itself ... nothing much you can do that if you dont have the $$$$$$

To wrap up my trip at Dubai, I must say that i have visited almost every shopping Mall the have there, including the newly opened Dubai Mall .... located just beside now the tallest building in the world ... Burj Dubai

I must say I am not a fan of shopping mall myself, but some of the shopping malls here are really too amazing to be ignored ....

Shopping aside, I have also a chance to visit the neighbouring state Abu Dhabi .... a place my friends sud be already there by now ... or at least going to be ..... I would say that it is a much more cozy place to live .... at least compared to the busy-ness of Dubai ......

Another year ahead

In a blink of an eye, almost 3 months have passed for the year .... i just came back from offshore 5 days ago .... and after 4 months away from work .... it seems a bit challenging to start up with .... body and mind need to adjust back to the demanding working environment i once so used to, and at the same time a new working environment with a new company .....

As far as we try to avoid ... i guess this year will be a tough year for everyone of us .... with the economy not looking good .... plus the demoralizing political climate here at Malaysia .... i just wonder how things will be in the coming days .....

Anyway, what the heck .... i am back ... and alive .... and can start to blog again :-P

Off to work

I will be flying to Kota Bharu later today. My first hitch to offshore this year with a new company. Hopefully everything will go well.

Since i just got my streamyx connection 2 days ago, i was not able to blog for a while after my dubai trip. I still have some nice pictures of dubai to share, but i guess that will be the next time when i come back again.

Chinese New Year

Coming into Chinese New Year, i faced one my the most challenging task ahead of me. To get streamyx to be installed at my new home. Just when i was applying for my streamyx, my phoneline failed on me. Now, in order that they can proceed to register my streamyx application, the phoneline need to be fixed. And as everyone knows TM, it will be the most challenging task ... much more challenging than to pass my physics and chemistry exams added together.

In addition to the already headache i have, my house started to leak here and there. And my chinese contractors will not be able to help me to fixed it until after 15th day of chinese new year .... they close shop because of "Pantang" .... well ..... what can i say, chinese tradition is always full of "the don'ts" .... so what to do ... just leave it leaking at the mean time ....

Anyway nevermind the problems, i hereby like to wish everybody a Happy Chinese New Year !!!!! May this year be another wonderful year :-)

My Graduation Day

After all the hardwork ......



all the endless hours with the computers .....




and all the messy days and nights i have to bear with to study for my exam .......

the moment that i have been waiting for has finally arrived, the last day which is also my graduation day ...... of the MWD academy 1 that i have attended for the past 3 months ....

Now that i can breathe a sigh of relief that finally everything is over ....

I am always a strong believer in hardwork, effort and determination .... and this time around, this academy has been squeezing every single drop of effort and hardwork that my brain and my body can offer .... another meaningful lesson on life that i can take back from here .... and i am glad that i eventually weather through all the challenges .... together with all my highly determined colleagues .... together we have fought hard throughout the academy ....

Jumeirah Adventure

December 2, 2008 - UAE National Day .... instead of wrapping myself with blanket in my room, me and my friend have decided check out Jumeirah .... a street which houses some of the most fascinating places at Dubai ... one which include the infamous Burj Al-Arab ... a 7 star hotel that almost everyone would immediately recognize ....

This was also my first bus trip at Dubai .... we downloaded the map from the internet and wait patiently at the bus station ... hoping for the right bus to come by ... well we are lucky enuf ... here it comes, C10 ... the bus that will take us all the way to Jumeirah Beach Park ....

The bus bring us along the Juimerah Road ... and at some point we passed by the Jumeirah Mosque .... one of the favourite tourist destination here .... but unfortunately, it is just open for visitors only on Thursday .... and that day was not a Thursday .... so we felt that there is no point to actually stopped by .... anyway, i think this mosque is one of the few that actually allow tourist to visit ... so far i never heard any mosque in malaysia that did the same ....

So our first stop, Juimeirah Beach Park

From there, we took another bus to the open beach just next to Burj Al Arab ... well not exactly to the beach .... it took quite a walk to actually reach the beach from the point our bus stopped ... but since the weather was good .... we wouldnt mind walking .....

We didnt spent much time here tough ... everyone is enjoying themselves dipping into the sea ... but i dun it was a good idea for me to get myself wet .... the water was ice cold ......

So we walked again along the road and wa la !!!! we reached the entrance of Burj Al Arab ..... many tourist was seen taking pictures there .... if i knew we can get such a good shot here .... no need to waste time snapping from the beach .....

I have never been a fan for visiting shopping mall ... but this one was really different .... ancient architecture combined with the great ambience and magnificent atmosphere .... i was really amazed .... now i know why people always tell me about how fascinating the architecture at Dubai .... well it's true ....

Before we head or way back to our apartment, we stopped by at Hard Rock Cafe .... since i have heard from my friends here that they were having some discounted items available .... so we think why not stopped by and have a drink and dinner there ... well sorry NO ALCOHOLIC DRINK .... what a dissappointment .... apparently the lose their licence to serve alcohol .... :-(
